BTF Handed Over Equipment to BSTI for Halal Laboratory

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)-funded Bangladesh Trade Facilitation (BTF) project handed over key laboratory equipment to the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) for their Halal Laboratory on 22 October 2024. It will contribute to strengthen BSTI's capabilities in certifying halal products, enhancing Bangladesh's competitiveness in global halal markets. By equipping BSTI with advanced tools, the project supports compliance with international halal standards, which is expected to boost the country's export potential in halal food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
