BSTI- BTF Organized Training on Importance of CODEX and Enhancing Participation
Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)-funded Bangladesh Trade Facilitation project (BTF) organized a training on the Importance of Codex and Enhancing Participation on 12 September 2024 to build awareness. BSTI served as the CODEX Contact Point and BSTI's Director General Mr. SM Ferdous Alam, chaired the National Codex Committee. The objective of the training was to enhance Bangladesh's active engagement in the international Codex Alimentarius Commission and increase cooperation amongst the country's food regulatory agencies and the food industry.
